Ex-Link Card
The Ex-Link card is a back plane receiver card installed into the PCI express slot located on the Express16 back plane.  It is connected to the H-Link card in the host PC using the Ex-cable.
H-Link Card

The H-Link card is a host link PCI express adapter which is installed on the host machines motherboard in either a x16, x8 or x4 PCI express slot.

Recommended host Motherboard/host PC:
Supermicro X7DVA- 8 or the Datapath IPC1-PRO.

Ex-cable
The Ex-cable is a 0.75M expansion cable used to connect the Express16 back plane to the host machine via the Ex-Link and H-Link cards.
D-Link Card (Accessory)

The D-Link card is used to connect one Express16 backplane to another enabling multiple back planes to be connected to a host machine. See illustration below.  

The D-Link card is supplied with two SIP-Cables for connection to the Ex-Link card.


Connecting Multiple Express16 Kits

By using the Dlink Card, multiple Express16 kits can be connected together to further increase the number of available PCI slots.
