A stand alone 64bit PCI-X plug in card, the VisionRGB-X captures the display output (analog RGB or single link DVI) from one computer screen and then displays it as an independent application on your Windows® desktop in real time, enabling you to view data from PCs, MACs, industrial/medical equipment, cameras and other video equipment.  The VisionRGB-X has two DVI-I type connectors for simultaneously feeding two independent data sources directly into your main PC.

The VisionRGB-X captures the analog RGB/DVI data and stores it in an on-board video buffer. This data is then copied using Direct Memory Access (DMA) to the host system for display, storage or streaming.

Whenever the analog RGB/DVI data is displayed on a non Datapath graphics card, the VisionRGB-X sends the data to system memory, after which, the operating system copies the data to the display. When a Datapath graphics card is used, the VisionRGB-X can transfer the data directly to the graphics card thereby increasing performance. This is especially effective when displaying captured data that is up scaled to fill a data wall or video wall. The VisionRGB-X sends portions of the captured data to each video channel and instructs each channel to use its graphics engine to update the data. This results in more efficient use of the hardware and dramatically increase performance.

The VisionRGB-X is also supplied with a powerful software application for configuring the timing and the format of the input sources and displaying the captured data.

Features
  • DMA transfers the data across the PCI bus without using host CPU cycles.
  • On board processor minimises system CPU load.
  • When used with the Datapath range of graphics adapters, the CPU load is negligable even if the image is being upscaled to a video wall, resulting in real time performance.
  • The VisionRGB-X captures data at a maximum pixel rate of 170MHz. Once captured, the data is converted to either 555, 565 or 888 pixel and YUV modes display formats and then transferred over the PCI bus to host memory, for display on the desktop.
  • Dynamic Input Source Selection.
  • Administrator Mode.
  • Update Indicator.
  • The VisionRGB-X application program is also built into the Datapath Wall Control software for video wall systems.
