Datapath, world-leading engineers of visual solutions, has appointed Sven Matern as the company’s Sales & Account Manager for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and Eastern Europe. A native of Germany who is also fluent in English, Mr Matern will set about nurturing close working relationships with both existing and new customers across his designated area.
Based close to Frankfurt in central Germany, Mr Matern comes to Datapath with extensive experience in digital technology markets. Following two years at Pervasive Software, a specialist in database management systems, he joined Rimage in 2001, where core business is the design and manufacture of CD/DVD publishing systems. Mr Matern started as a pre-sales engineer and progressed to business development manager before his departure to Datapath at the end of 2016.
“For Datapath, the DACH region has previously been managed from the Datapath head office in the UK, so one of my main roles will be to develop even closer relationships with our customer base,” says Mr Matern. “The market is moving quite fast at the moment, so I am looking to quickly establish what our customers require and feedback to our design team on any product development demands. I’ve already found that some customers require help on how best to integrate Datapath products into their workflow. This is among the areas where I can add value.”
Mr Matern will be liaising with distributors, resellers, system integrators and OEMs across the DACH region and Eastern Europe.
Bjorn Krylander, Managing Director of Datapath, says: “We would like to welcome Sven to our sales team and look forward to leveraging his impressive industry and sales experience, as well as his presence in the DACH region, which will be of enormous benefit to customers throughout the region and beyond. We have a strong track record of hiring the best people here at Datapath and Sven is no exception. He has qualities that will prove key as we continue to expand our brand presence around the world. I am certain that Sven can help us build on our already strong market position.”
