Chris Veros has been named as Senior Sales Manager for North East USA at Datapath, world-leading engineers of visual solutions. The move reflects the rapid growth pattern currently being witnessed in the Americas, where the expanding team is enjoying great success in helping to raise brand awareness and sales levels. Chris officially joined the team on 15 May.
“My responsibilities are easily defined, to win new accounts and advance the sales of Datapath hardware and software products across my region,” says Chris, who will be based in Long Island and cover an area that includes New York State, south to New Jersey and Delaware, and north to Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. He is certainly well qualified to achieve his aims, having arrived at Datapath from ZeeVee, a Massachusetts headquartered specialist in video distribution solutions.
“I was in charge of IP solutions across North America for ZeeVee, and before that worked for a number of other major video processing and distribution solution companies,” explains Chris, who will now be liaising with system integrators, OEMs and end users on behalf of Datapath.
“I’ll be looking to evangelise the market to the benefits of using Datapath’s wide range of products,” he adds. “I’m particularly excited about some of the recent additions to the line-up, including the Fx4 and iolite display wall controllers, as well as our new Quant application-sharing software. I’ll be looking to identify new partners and help build business and trade. Datapath enjoyed phenomenal growth here in 2016 and we’re looking to do the same this year.”
In such a fast-moving market as the USA, Chris is looking to quickly establish what his customers require and how best to integrate Datapath products into their workflows.
“Among my main focus areas will be video wall creation applications and our new SQX IP capture and decode cards, particularly in sectors such as command and control, security, retail, corporate and casino,” he says. “I’ll also be targeting large-scale integrators. One of the main advantages is that Datapath products have a very good price-performance ratio, which proves attractive to many customers.”
