Datapath helps integrators cut costs with commissioning offering

Datapath, world-leading engineers of visual solutions, continues to ramp up its sales and support strategy in North America with a recently launched commissioning service that is being welcomed by customers and end users alike. 

The service is the creation of David Spence, director of customer and technical support, in response to direct feedback from customers. It sees Datapath staff working directly with customers before, during and after the installation phase, ensuring end users are wholly familiar with their Datapath hardware and software, and are on-hand to address any questions or function queries. 

Typically, the commissioning service sees Datapath technical staff inspect every element of the Datapath system as it progresses, ensuring the project is completed within the anticipated time frame. Any technical requirements are immediately dealt with, helping to keep projects within designated parameters. 

Following a ‘soft roll-out’ last year, the service has now been used for numerous projects across the US, ranging from a control room at NBA NYC Office to a video wall at San Francisco Giants’ stadium.

John Hohenstein, customer service manager for Datapath in North America, explains: “Datapath prides itself in offering a personal sales service to our customers and our commissioning service reinforces that one-to-one experience further still. SIs and end-users can now have the assurance of a Datapath expert to answer any technical questions, demonstrate best practice and how to get the very best from their Datapath solution. The service has proven particularly useful in large, multiple input display projects, where the capability of our high-end display processors and Wall Control software can be fully utilized.” 

He adds: “Our commissioning service offers multiple benefits for customers - the integrator can save costs by getting off-site faster, and there are no service calls to worry about as the project comes together. Plus, of course, the end user gets a fully-signed off and proven project when they require it.” 

Datapath’s commissioning service is now available on all large projects across the US and Canada.
