Datapath to show latest video wall controllers and software at Infocomm China 2018

Infocomm_china

Datapath, will place a number of core innovations in the spotlight at the forthcoming Infocomm China 2018 exhibition in Beijing on 11-13 April. Currently enjoying impressive growth in the Chinese and wider Far East market, Datapath will be hosting live demonstrations of the company’s latest video wall controller and software solutions. The demonstrations are aimed at all AV professionals, from OEMs and dealers/distributors, through to system integrators, contractors and consultants working in industries that include retail, live event, broadcast, education, security, hotel, leisure, healthcare and military, to list but a few.

Taking place at the China National Convention Center (CNCC), visitors to Infocomm China will find Datapath technology on the stand of distribution partner Mindstec Asia Technology Ltd (Booth PD3-01). The Datapath area will be divided into two main areas, with a video/display wall at the centre of each. Digital signage will be a particular focus; with the industry estimated to hit a value of $20 billion by 2020, companies of all sizes are investing heavily in digital media.

One four-screen video wall will be configured as a regular 2x2 array and driven by a Datapath VSN video wall controller and WallControl 10 software. As video wall deployments typically require a number of users to interact simultaneously with a large number of inputs across multiple screens, WallControl 10 provides users with the interface required to quickly and effectively manage content including video captures, IP streams and local applications.

This screen will also be used to demonstrate the unique capabilities of Datapath’s recently launched Quant collaboration software, which allows users to view and share application windows, as well as interact and make changes to original source files.

Offering wide, cross-market appeal, Quant has been designed for users to collaborate, assign and delegate tasks instantly, in real-time, without the need for the cloud. The software permits application windows to be shared between peers or on to a video wall.. This intuitive functionality makes it easy to share important information from sometimes ad-hoc sources ‘on the fly’, saving time and expanding the usability of video walls. Additionally, it can be configured in a more permanent way to share information.

On the other side of the stand, Datapath will showcase its capability in creative digital displays. Here, a six-screen ‘scatter’ wall will be driven by the company’s Fx4 new-generation display wall control technology. Designed for applications such as retail, prestige signage, live events and broadcasts, the Fx4 allows users to easily manage multiple video and audio inputs and outputs. In fact, two Fx4 controllers will be set up at Infocomm China to demonstrate the potential for ‘daisy chaining’, functionality that is particularly useful for those looking to build exceptionally large video walls without any degradation in signal.

PC demonstrations will also be provided for Datapath’s Wall Designer software, the company’s advanced video-wall design and implementation suite that allows Fx4 users to unleash their creative side.

A number of Datapath’s expert and friendly team will be on the booth to discuss potential solutions to any specific applications.
