KVM Control with Aligo

Aligo product range category banner

Alongside its flexible display capabilities, with support for a single 4K or up to four HD streams, the Aligo RX100 also provides direct control of sources. Two USB 2.0 interfaces on the front of the RX100 allow a keyboard and mouse to be connected, enabling direct control of the sources being displayed.

This provides a secure method of interacting with content displayed on smaller video walls placed in crisis rooms or incident management rooms for example. It also provides an option for direct control of sources from operator workstations.

Single 4K sources

When a single 4K source is being displayed, the connected keyboard and mouse provide direct control of the active 4K source.

Multiple HD sources

With HD sources, control is provided for each active source. As the user moves the mouse between sources, control automatically switches to the source in focus.

To enable seamless switching, the layout of the outputs is configured as OneControl Group in Aetria (e.g. a 2×2 as shown above).

Multiple sources with multiple receivers

Multiple RX100 receivers can be used to create larger video walls where required. The same OneControl functionality is supported with a keyboard and mouse connected to the first RX100 providing control for sources displayed via the second RX100.

When multiple RX100 receivers are used, the OneControl Group can be made up of 4K sources as well as HD.

Source Switching

When the active source being displayed by the RX100 changes, control automatically switches to the newly displayed source. Sources being displayed can be switched in several ways:

  • Aetria Command Center: Users switch the source using the web-based Aetria Command Center interface.
  • Aetria Touch: A new source can be displayed on the Aligo wall using an Aetria Touch panel.
  • Aetria API: Sources can be changed from external, third-party products or tools by using the secure API in Aetria.

Optimized for Aetria

Aligo is fully managed and controlled by Aetria, Datapath’s integrated solution for the design, management and operation of control rooms of any size.
