Meet our people – Harpreet Burhm, Project Manager

Harpreet news

Thank you for taking a moment to speak with us, Harpreet. Firstly, a very warm welcome to the team. Can you tell us a little about your work history and how it led you to Datapath?

Thank you, it’s great to be here! My role at Datapath is the perfect blend of my career as I have 5 years experience in project management and have always worked in the IT sector. I also did work experience for Datapath when I was 16! I’ve seen the company evolve from a small company and grow into a large, global company, which has been fantastic to not only see, but also to now be a part of.

What are your first impressions of the AV industry?

It’s very interesting and there’s lots to learn! I think it’s taught me to appreciate the technology that goes into the background of our products and how it all comes together.

Obviously, you’ve only joined the team recently, but could you give some insight on what a typical day in your role for looks like?

I hold project meetings with various teams to ensure projects are kept on track and highlight any potential issues. I also run reports to management about what the teams are working on and get involved with the software and hardware lifecycles of products.

What would you say are the most rewarding and most challenging parts of a role like yours?

The rewarding part is coming together as a team to tackle any challenging issues together. It is a real collaborative team effort at Datapath, which is great to be a part of.

How do you spend your time outside of Datapath HQ?

I’ve recently bought a house, so, decorating is taking up most of my time at the moment! I also love keeping fit, I really enjoy taking part in fitness bootcamps.

Tell us something people may not know about you…

I got into fitness a few years ago after losing around 5 stone and I am now a qualified personal trainer.
