How to design, manage and
operate mission-critical control rooms
Course Overview
This three-day training course covers all the hardware and software components of Aetria and shows how they can be used together to meet the unique requirement of a project. With hands-on experience working through practical examples, attendees are guided through Aetria’s complete structured approach, learning how to design, manage and operate easier than ever before.
The course will equip attendees with the knowledge on how Aetria can be used to implement simple-to-complex control room designs. The content of the course includes requirements gathering, system setup and configuration, and the operation of a deployed Aetria control room solution.
Outcome
On completion of the course, you will have a full understanding of the Aetria solution, its components and how they work together. Attendees will be able to:
- Design the most appropriate Aetria solution for any given project
- Confidently present and discuss options, features and benefits with end users
- Set up and configure all Aetria components ready for operation
- Control and operate Aetria video walls and workstations

Course Content
Day 1 – Introducing Aetria
Gain a comprehensive overview of Aetria by understanding the key benefits and advantages and learn about the different hardware and software components involved in an Aetria system. In the practical afternoon session, you will learn how to use Aetria, including the Aetria Command Center interface, plus the three workstation options.
Day 2 – Aetria in action
For the second day, you will learn how Aetria is implemented in various setups, and analyze Aetria within real project briefs, including a Smart University Campus and Oil and Gas control rooms. As part of the afternoon session, you will learn what project requirements are crucial in designing the most appropriate Aetria solution for end-users.
Day 3 – Applying Aetria
Create a control room project with some hands-on training using Aetria Designer. The training course will conclude with two assessments, a practical task, and a multiple-choice questionnaire, followed by a Question-and-Answer segment.
